Max's Wine Dive wants everyone to be able to find our hours, read the menu, make a reservation and join the fun online. We're working to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
What we've built in
- Keyboard access: every page can be used with a keyboard, with a "Skip to main content" link and visible focus outlines.
- Screen readers: menus, hours and prices are real text, not images. Photos have written descriptions, and buttons and icons have labels.
- Readable design: text meets contrast guidelines, and the site works when zoomed to 200 percent.
- Motion control: the homepage video has a pause button, and animations are reduced for anyone whose device is set to reduce motion.
- Nugget Run: the game can be paused, works with a keyboard or touch, and announces menus, results and the leaderboard to screen readers.
Known limitations
- Nugget Run gameplay depends on seeing obstacles and timing jumps, so it can't be played fully without sight. The menus, results, leaderboard and signup form are accessible.
- Third-party services, including OpenTable, Eventbrite and Toast, handle reservations, tickets and orders. We can't control their accessibility, but we're happy to help you book or order another way.
